A very rare copy of this magnificent book and signed. 

Hardback, blue cloth, silver text. White endpapers. 275 numbered pages + 1 overleaf. Black price clipped dust jacket with Silver Text and illustration with adverts on the back. Dust jacket design by J. R. Monsell.

Contains the two classic ghost stories "The Book" and "The Earlier Service". Seven stories and a play by Margaret Irwin. 

Printed in Great Britain by R. & R. Clark, Edinburgh.

Condition: Near Fine - Nice blue cloth with silver lettering on the spine. Slight corner bruising and very small spine lean. Ex-Libris sticker on the inside of the front board.

Dust Jacket: Acceptable - Protected in bodart, Price clipped, many tears and parts missing, stained on the back and on the inside. We have wrapped it nicely to keep it in a better condition.  A good copy.
