Original pictorial brown cloth hardback book in fine condition.  This translation of Gautier was Lafcadio Hearn's first book.  A collection of 6 stories including the classic vampire tale Clarimonde and The Mummy's Foot.

Condition:  Age darkened copy.  Cloth worn at head and tail of spine panel and corner tips, some rubbing along outer joints and fore-edges, cloth a bit soiled and darkened,  a fine copy.  Loose free endpaper, pencil notations.  Text firm and clean as are the illustrations.
