Signed inscription by Ron Weighell for Richard Dalby inside front cover.  Also, a two-page association letter sent to Richard Dalby from Ron.  "The Shadow of the Wolf" is a prominent Sherlock Holmes pastiche story written by late British horror and supernatural fiction author Ron Weighell.  It was originally commissioned in 1992 by the Northern Musgraves Sherlock Holmes Society for their Aspects of Holmes weekend seminar and annual dinner, 28 March 1992. The story was highly praised upon its debut, prompting Weighell to write a series of occult-tinged Holmes adventures.
