Cynthia Asquith - What Dreams May Come, James Barrie 1951, 1st Edition, 1st Printing, Presentation Copy, Signed with Dust Jacket.
Hardback, turquoise cloth, gold lettering, white end papers, 254 numbered pages, the last page of the text is not numbered.
The Dust Jacket mentions nine stories in this collection, but the book actually only contains eight - the missing story is 'The Follower'.
This is a presentation copy inscribed in pencil on the front end paper to Dorothy Wellesley from Author "Dottie, with love from Cynthia, 1952".
It appears that Dorothy made some corrections in this copy in blue pen to page 32-33, page 41, 81, 119 and 165. Which she may have fed back to Cynthia for later editions.
Association: Dorothy Wellesley the Duchess of Wellington was also an Author of more that ten books including poetry.
Condition: Cloth faded, especially on the spine and edges, very minor bruising, slight stain to top edge of pages near the spine. Slight page yellowing. Dust jacket protected in bodart, great condition with some tearing at edges and minor wear on the spine. Overall in very good condition.
