The Strand Magazine was a highly influential British monthly periodical published from 1891 to 1950, most famous for launching the widespread popularity of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. It was revived in 1998 as a quarterly mystery magazine based in the United States.  Ronald Searle Illustrations on page 14 for the short story by A E W Mason. 

Magazine in fair condition.  Rubbed spine and bumped ends, staples rusted.  Torn to base of spine and beginning leaves.  Corners bumped.  Foxing to page edges.  Foxing to rear cover.  Text firm and clean.
