First published in 1892, it compiles 42 traditional fairy tales from around the world. While Lang's name is on the cover, the vast majority of the translation, adaptation, and editing work was done by his wife, Leonora Blanche Lang, and other collaborators.

Green cloth gilt in good condition.  Faded gilt to spine and front cloth.  Worn hinges, bumped and worn spine ends.  Corners bumped and worn.  Gilt page edges.  Previous owners inscription and date on half title page.  Missing front endpaper.  Hingecrack.  Taped rear endpaper.  Foxing and stains to leaves through book.  Good reading copy.
