The Wreck of the Golden Mary is a novella first published in the 1856 issue of Charles Dicken's weekly magazine, Household Words.  It is a collaborative work, with the main story framework written by Dickens and Wilkie Collins, and other sections contributed by additional authors.  "The Wreck": The main story, written primarily by Dickens, with a concluding segment by Wilkie Collins.  "The Beguilement in the Boats": This section includes individual stories told by the characters (the Armourer, the Supercargo, the Old Seaman, Poor Dick, and the Scotch Boy) to pass the time. These were written by Percy Fitzgerald, Harriet Parr, Adelaide Anne Procter, and James White.  "The Deliverance": The final section, written by Wilkie Collins, which brings the narrative to its conclusion.

Pocketsize hardcover in fine condition.  Faded patterned gilt to spine, and bumped ends.  Corners bumped.  Gilt top page edges.  Tanning to endpapers.  Foxing to page edges.  Foxing in margin.  Text firm and clean.  Good reading copy.
